Job Title: TCS Ticket Agent

Department: Ticket Center Stage

Reports to: Director, Ticket Center Stage

Takes direction from: Senior Ticket Agents

FLSA Status: Part Time, Non-exempt

Shift: Days, evenings and weekends as scheduled

Typical shifts are 9:30am-6:30pm, 9:30am-3:00pm, and 5:30pm-9:30pm on weekdays; 11:30am-4:30pm and 5:30pm-9:30pm on weekends


Ticket Agents are responsible for assisting patrons with all needs associated with ticketing for the VTA, resident licensees and third party rentals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Ticket Center Stage patrons are being serviced quickly, accurately and politely.
  • Processing orders for all products offered by Ticket Center Stage including, but not limited to show performances, parking, and gift certificates.
  • Providing a high standard of customer service for all contact with the customer, whether it be by phone, in person, online, by mail or by email.
  • Providing excellent accuracy, timeliness, dependability and problem solving skills with all customer service issues.
  • Correctly reconciling and accounting for daily sales transactions.
  • Must demonstrate excellent accuracy, timeliness and dependability.
  • Must keep a professional appearance.
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge of ticket office operations a plus. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with Licensees, peers, leads, management and general public. Must conduct duties in a positive, professional manner and maintain customer service initiatives. Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personalities.

 High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Working Conditions:

Work requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule and will require weekend and/or evening work. Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
